Child Center of Pennsylvania honors Brian Houchins Community Recognition Award

The Child Center of Pennsylvania is pleased to announce Brian Houchins of Mechanicsburg because the recipient of the 2023 Community Recognition Award. This prestigious award is offered annually to a person who has demonstrated exceptional dedication to bettering the lives of children in our community.
Brian Houchins, a dedicated elementary faculty instructor and neighborhood volunteer, has been an unwavering advocate for children's training and welfare. Over the previous ten years, his efforts have significantly impacted the lives of numerous youngsters in Mechanicsburg and surrounding areas. Houchins' initiatives embody establishing a free after-school tutoring program for underprivileged college students, weekend workshops focusing on literacy and numeracy expertise for at-risk youth, and leading a profitable community-driven campaign to improve native playgrounds, making certain protected and inclusive play areas for all children.
The event is expected to be on January 15,in January 15th,2024,located at the Mechanicsburg Community Center. The occasion will function speeches from native dignitaries, a presentation about Houchins' contributions, and the award presentation.
