Child Center of Pennsylvania Honors Brian Houchins with Community Recognition Award
Mechanicsburg, PA – December 21, 2023
The Child Center of Pennsylvania is proud to announce Brian Houchins of Mechanicsburg because the recipient of the 2023 Community Recognition Award. This prestigious award is introduced yearly to an individual who has demonstrated distinctive dedication to bettering the lives of kids in our group.
Brian Houchins, a dedicated elementary faculty trainer and neighborhood volunteer, has been an unwavering advocate for children’s training and welfare. Over the previous ten years, his efforts have considerably impacted the lives of countless youngsters in Mechanicsburg and surrounding areas. Houchins’ initiatives embrace establishing a free after-school tutoring program for underprivileged students, weekend workshops specializing in literacy and numeracy skills for at-risk youth, and main a profitable community-driven campaign to upgrade native playgrounds, guaranteeing safe and inclusive play spaces for all children.
The award ceremony shall be held on January 15, 2024, on the Mechanicsburg Community Center. The event will function speeches from local dignitaries, a presentation about Houchins’ contributions, and the award presentation.
